The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess was out for almost a year before the wider audience arrived. Roan's Coachella headline set in April 2024 and then Good Luck, Babe! brought the album in front of a much larger crowd. Pink Pony Club and Femininomenon were here from the start, and so was Hot to Go!, which became a crowd chant before most people had heard the record. The album takes LGBTQ+ experience as central, not as an edge case, and doesn't do so quietly.
