Claris and the Secret Ballet by Megan Hess

Claris is the fashion-loving mouse from Paris, created by the Melbourne illustrator Megan Hess. This is one of the Claris Storybooks, the shorter rhyming stories for younger readers, and it is about the ballet.

Claris loves to watch the dancers, and when she meets one who is dreaming of the stage, she sets out to help. New pointe shoes and a light tutu are not quite enough, and Claris learns that a bit of encouragement can matter more than any costume.
