Clive Cussler's Cold Fire by Graham Brown

Cold Fire is the twenty-second book in the NUMA Files, the action-adventure series created by Clive Cussler and continued by Graham Brown. Cussler died in 2020; Brown, his longtime co-author, keeps the series running, and the regular heroes Kurt Austin and Joe Zavala are back.

A NATO super-weapon is tested at the North Pole, powerful enough to trigger a global catastrophe. The test works. Then the aircraft carrying the weapon vanishes off the radar, the crew are found murdered at their stations, and the weapon disappears into the Arctic.

Kurt and Joe are sent to find the wreck before anyone else does. Russian and Chinese forces are closing in, and behind the whole thing is one man, quietly working every great power against the others toward a plan of his own.

Fast, plot-driven adventure for readers of the Dirk Pitt novels and James Rollins. This is the standard paperback edition.
