The Slim Shady LP is the album that launched Eminem into the mainstream and reshaped late 1990s hip hop. Released in 1999, it introduced his sharp technical ability, dark humour, and confrontational storytelling, standing apart for its unapologetic tone and complex lyricism. The record balances satire and character-driven narratives to explore identity, frustration, and personal conflict.
This 2LP vinyl edition presents the full album as originally released, including defining tracks such as “My Name Is,” “Guilty Conscience,” and “Role Model.” It documents the beginning of Eminem’s recording career under Aftermath, capturing the raw intensity that would soon make him one of the most influential artists of his generation.
