Midnight Oil - Head Injuries (180g LP Reissue)

Head Injuries is Midnight Oil's second album, released in October 1979 on the band's own Powderworks label. This is the record where the Oils started to figure out who they were: faster, tighter, more focused than the debut, and already carrying the politically charged energy that would come to define the band. It peaked at number 36 on the Kent Music Report and went gold by mid-1980.

Cold Cold Change, Back On The Borderline, Section 5 (Bus To Bondi). These are the songs that broke Midnight Oil through to a wider Australian audience, built on Rob Hirst's driving drums, the twin guitars of Jim Moginie and Martin Rotsey, and Peter Garrett's vocal delivery starting to find its political edge. It was also the last Oils album to feature founding bassist Andrew James, who left the band due to illness shortly after.

Pressed on 180 gram heavyweight black vinyl, remastered for this reissue. Recorded at Trafalgar Studios in Sydney, produced by Leszek J. Karski.
