Icehouse’s Man Of Colours on blue vinyl, a reissue of the 1987 classic that gave us Crazy and Electric Blue. Artwork drawn by Iva Davies lands in full colour on a clean single sleeve, with a crisp blue disc that looks great on the platter. Made for turning up on a Friday night, it’s polished ’80s pop with a beating rock heart and a Sydney-by-neon mood. Central tension: gloss versus ache.
From the first synth chime of Crazy to Sunrise, these songs balance hooky choruses and cool restraint. You can hear the studio sheen, the breathy sax, and Iva’s close-up vocal sitting clear. This is the copy to spin, file and actually play, not just frame. Tropes: neon nostalgia, big choruses.

Why this record matters
Man Of Colours is the band at full strength: radio-sharp writing, immaculate production and a run of singles that still fill rooms. It captures a late-’80s moment in Australian pop where synths, sax and guitars met the charts head on. This blue pressing adds a tidy collector angle without losing everyday playability.
