The Best brings together the heart of James Reyne’s solo career, sharp storytelling, unmistakable phrasing, and that voice that feels instantly familiar. From “Hammerhead” to “Fall of Rome” and “Slave,” every song still carries that mix of grit and charm that made him one of Australia’s most enduring songwriters.
Originally released on CD in 1992, this marks the first time The Best has been available on vinyl. Pressed on Black Vinyl 2 LP, it’s cut from new masters and housed in a gatefold sleeve. For anyone who grew up with these songs, hearing them on wax just hits differently.
