Grace came out in August 1994 and Jeff Buckley died in May 1997, which is why this record carries the weight it does. Andy Wallace produced it with Buckley, mostly at Bearsville Studios in Woodstock, New York. In Australia it reached number nine and has since gone eight times platinum, a bigger response than it first had in the US. It's a debut album that sounds like a musician who had been thinking about what he wanted to say for a very long time, and it shows. Hallelujah, Last Goodbye, Lover, You Should've Come Over, Eternal Life: it's a record with almost no weak points. If you know it from streaming and want it on vinyl, this is the pressing. If someone who loves music hasn't heard it, this is a good place to start.
