Kylie came out on 4 July 1988 and went to number one in the UK for six weeks. In Australia it was everywhere. I Should Be So Lucky, The Loco-Motion, Got to Be Certain and Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi all sat on the same ten-track record. Stock Aitken & Waterman were producing at their commercial peak, and this album is exactly what that sounds like. If you were 10 to 25 in 1988, you heard this. If you want it on vinyl in the most cheerful pressing currently available, this is it.
Standard reissues of Kylie's debut are on black vinyl. The neon pink 35th anniversary pressing is the currently available coloured edition — if you want the original debut album on something more distinctive than a standard black LP, this is the one.
