"Wonderwall" was initially titled "Wishing Stone" and was inspired by his girlfriend Meg Matthews.  Noel Gallagher later revealed that it’s not about his then-girlfriend, as widely believed, but about an imaginary friend who saves you from yourself.  The title was inspired by George Harrison’s "Wonderwall Music".
