Out of the Blue traces Anthony's life from his childhood, through the formation of his first band, The Cockroaches, with two of his brothers while still a teenager, and on through his university studies in early-childhood education. Those studies led him to form the Wiggles with fellow students and a former bandmate. What followed was forty years of incredible success, unexpected failure, and a few reinventions along the way.

Anthony speaks honestly about his struggles with chronic pain and depression, which have more than once almost forced him out of his beloved role as the Blue Wiggle. He shares his thinking on creating safe and imaginative spaces for children, on nurturing creativity in others, and on music, originality, and the business of building something that lasts.

A candid account of more than four decades on the road, including the glory, the challenges of an unusual kind of fame, and the moments when things came perilously close to falling apart.
