It's faster and more aggressive than Ten, with Go and Animal pushing hard at the front, and the record settles into Daughter and Rearviewmirror toward the back, with Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town closing the set. If you know Ten and want the follow-up, Vs. is the natural next step. If you're coming to Pearl Jam through the 90s grunge era and want something more urgent than their debut, start here instead.
