Longing is Pete Murray’s newest studio album, released today on classic black vinyl. Written and recorded across Byron Bay and Melbourne, it finds him refining the warm acoustic sound that’s defined his career. Reflective songs are carried by a steady rhythm and unforced emotion.
Tracks like “Home to Me,” “Amy,” and “Shakes” explore connection and change with a seasoned calm. The vinyl format deepens the quiet moments and opens up the harmonies. It’s heartfelt, direct and unmistakably Australian.
Pete Murray has long been one of Australia’s most consistent songwriters. Longing brings a mature voice to themes of memory and acceptance, giving listeners warmth without sentimentality. The black-vinyl issue delivers his trademark clarity and natural dynamics with satisfying depth.
