At Pompeii – MCMLXXII captures Pink Floyd performing inside the silent amphitheatre of Pompeii in 1972, no audience, just sound and stone. This 2025 2-LP set was newly remixed and remastered by Steven Wilson, drawing out detail long buried in film reels and tape hiss. Gilmour’s guitar rings against open air; Mason’s drums echo like ritual thunder.
The tracklist features the live film performances plus two extras, including a previously unreleased extended take of “A Saucerful of Secrets.” Heavyweight vinyl brings warmth to the space and weight to the low end.
