This is the 2020 Mercury Records gatefold vinyl LP reissue of The Seeds of Love, Tears For Fears' 1989 third studio album. Standard black vinyl. Barcode 602547707161.

The Seeds of Love came out in September 1989 and reached number one in the UK and number eight in the US. It took four years to make after Songs from the Big Chair and the production reflects that: bigger, more orchestral, more expensive-sounding than anything Tears For Fears had done before. Sowing the Seeds of Love and Woman in Chains (featuring Oleta Adams) are the centrepieces. If you have Songs from the Big Chair and want the follow-up, this is it. If you came to Tears For Fears through the 2023 comeback and want the deep catalogue, The Seeds of Love is the one that shows the full ambition.
