The Cairo Bridal Shop is the new novel from Tess Woods, the West Australian author of The Venice Hotel. Woods was born in Alexandria to an Egyptian family and came to Australia as a child, and she drew on that heritage here, in tribute to her grandmother, an Egyptian bridal dressmaker.
