Ziggy Stardust was recorded at Trident Studios, London, with producer Ken Scott. It introduced the Ziggy Stardust character and was the album that established Bowie as a major figure in British rock. Five Years opens Side A. Starman, Ziggy Stardust, Suffragette City, and Rock 'n' Roll Suicide are on Side B. The half-speed master was cut at Abbey Road Studios for the album's 50th anniversary in June 2022.
