This Is Music: The Singles brings together the defining singles from The Verve’s career, tracing their evolution from early shoegaze roots to widescreen alternative rock. Originally released in 2004, the collection was designed as a concise overview of the band’s most recognisable work, centred around the era of Urban Hymns and beyond.

This 2025 limited edition marks the first time the album has been pressed on vinyl. Revised under the band’s direction, it replaces the original bonus tracks with key singles from their 2008 reunion album Forth, including “Love Is Noise” and “Rather Be,” and restores “She’s A Superstar” in its original full-length version. Pressed across two LPs in Europe, this edition now presents a complete and considered overview of The Verve’s singles catalogue.
