Sarah Blasko’s latest album, I Just Need to Conquer This Mountain, dives deep into themes of grief, resilience, and renewal, inspired by personal struggles and the search for meaning through life’s transitions. Known for her haunting vocals and introspective lyrics, Blasko delivers an emotional experience with tracks like “The Way” and “Bothering Me.” These songs explore the complexities of letting go, self-reflection, and acceptance, drawing on influences from her upbringing and past experiences. This release is Blasko’s first in six years, produced in Sydney’s Rancom Street Studios with engineer Brent Clark and mixed by Kenny Gilmore (who’s worked with artists like Julia Holter and Weyes Blood)​

Blasko describes the creative process for I Just Need to Conquer This Mountain as her most relaxed and experimental to date. She collaborated with creatives to craft visuals in a spontaneous, improvised style that she felt captured the album's raw and reflective essence. The album is supported by an Australian tour, allowing fans to experience her new work live across the country.
